Recoating and Proof Testing
NYFORS recoaters are used to rebuild the primary acrylate coating on spliced optical fibers, restoring the stripped fiber section to its original shape, strength and flexibility.
AutoCoater 2 - series
Automatic recoater for production applications
Available with two mould options - rigid moulds in a fixed mounting, or easily exchangeable soft silicone moulds - this automatic recoating platform can be adapted for both high-volume production to the same specifications, and for fully automatic skill-independent recoating operations where flexibility is required to meet many different needs and specifications.
ReCoater 2 - series
High quality recoating and strength testing
Highly adaptable recoater with uniform diameter, undersize recoating and overcoating capability. Suitable for demanding, high-strength applications and applications where a high degree of flexibility is required.
MiniCoater 2 - series
Compact recoater for research, development and production operations
This small, flexible and lightweight recoater is ideal for situations where the recoater must frequently be moved from one lab or production area to another. Suitable for operation in a remote field environment such as an oil drilling platform, and for other uses where a high degree of portability is required.
AutoCoater
Automatic and flexible recoater
The AutoCoater is used to restore the primary coating on spliced optical fibers with acrylate coatings. Designed for high strength applications, this automated recoater gives low cost recoatings and operator independence in factory environments.
Recoater 1
Outstanding performance and high reliability
The Recoater 1 is designed for high-strength, high quality recoating of spliced optical fibers with acrylate coatings. Moulds are available for various sizes of coating diameters and they can also be made to customer specified shapes.
MiniCoater
The smallest recoater available
The small and flexible MiniCoater is available with easily interchangeable moulds for various coating sizes. Moulds can also be made to customer specified sizes.
ProofTester
For tensile strength testing of your splices
This compact and lightweight instrument is used for testing the strength of spliced optical fibers with forces up to 30 N.
